Heidi Tyrrell
Epoch 2021
Diploma of Visual Arts
Heidi Tyrrell (aka Azura) is a Multidisciplinary Artist, Belly Dance Teacher, Choreographer, Performer, and Percussionist of over 25 years.  Her Solo and Troupe Performances have featured at major events across Australia, Internationally, and on TV.  Heidi’s Multicultural Arts Programs Jungle Shimmy and Rhythm Empire, have toured extensively with Regional Arts Victoria, and are currently endorsed by Cultural Infusion.
Heidi’s Visual Art Portfolio is influenced by her Anglo-Indian heritage, motherhood, and her work with children, adults and the elderly.  Her two and three-dimensional creations are a joyous exploration of color, light, and materiality, palpitating themes of hope and connection through symbolic references, portraiture, and dream-like narratives.
Heidi is currently running weekly Bellydance Classes online, performing solo shows across Melbourne, and working toward her Diploma of Visual Art Painting at Melbourne Polytechnic on a part-time basis.
