All About The Eyes, Digital A4

POA contact artist fleureillo@gmail.com

This artwork is in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the fact that in public our faces are masked and all we see are each other’s eyes.   The eye feathers of the peacock are shedding and falling, symbolising how time and seasons pass, as will this extreme period of uncertainty around the world.

Flowers in the Attic, Acrylic and Digital, A4

POA contact artist fleureillo@gmail.com

This piece is mixed media Acrylic and Digital, it is my mock-up design of a book cover for Flowers in the Attic by Virginia Andrews.  I read the book as a teenager and it conjured up vivid images.

Sweetie Darling Sweetie, Acrylic and Digital, A3

Patsy Stone is a lovable fictional character in the British TV sitcom Absolutely Fabulous. She is a Chain-smoker thus a cigarette in each hand. Patsy has a manipulative personality, so I added Edina Monsoon as a puppet on strings, I really enjoyed painting this portrait and It was a finalist in the Fact or Fiction competition.

Magic Moments, Cyanotype and Posca Pen on watercolour paper, A4

POA contact artist fleureillo@gmail.com

This artwork was created for a mixed media assignment.  I made a cyanotype print using flowers, soapy liquid and cling wrap, then when it was developed in the sun and dried, I used posca pens to embellish.

Memories of Mum, Cyanotype, Graphite and Digital A4

POA contact artist fleureillo@gmail.com

This artwork is a portrait of my mum in graphite mixed with a cyanotype print with collage elements.  When creating this piece, I held the feeling of passing Time and Memory, mum is in a very delicate time of her life now with fading memory. Some memories are stronger than others.

Goddess of the Earth, Acrylic and Digital A4

POA contact artist fleureillo@gmail.com

This artwork was created for a poster in acrylic and then mixed with a cyanotype print on digital platform.  I also had children’s illustration in mind when creating this piece.  Goddess of the Earth surrounded with nature.

Woman, Charcoal and Chalk on Kraft paper, A4

POA contact artist fleureillo@gmail.com

This artwork was drawn from observation.  I distorted the buttock area whilst adding graphic shapes to the shoulders and neck for interest.

Feeling Blue, Graphite and Digital, A4

POA contact artist fleureillo@gmail.com

This is a self-portrait expressing a feeling of frustration and feeling flat.

Memories of Chi, Cyanotype and Digital, A4

POA contact artist fleureillo@gmail.com

This artwork is a cyanotype print of collected nature on an allotted 1hour walk in lockdown.  I married it with a line drawing of a photograph image of my child on a carefree day with her friend a few years ago in the Botanical gardens. A beautiful memory I hold close to my heart.
