CHARACTER: Costa Georgiadis
Costa Georgiadis is a landscape architect and TV Host. His bubbly personality spreads vital knowledge in a positive interactive manner all over Australia expressing his passion for sustainability and land care.
In 2009 he was the presenter in the TV ABC series ‘Costa’s Garden Odyssey’ until 2011. From 2014-2017 he acted in Kids ABC ‘Get Grubby’ as Costa the Garden Gnome and in 2012 he became a presenter and is still for ABC ‘Gardening Australia’.
In 2019, Costa won the Gold Logie for ‘most popular presenter’.
I chose Costa because of the brave way he projects himself with his valuable knowledge and beliefs. I also believe in a having a more sustainable environment.
The colours, medium and stylised approach in this painting was a joy to create.
