Welcome to MERAKI, the 2020 graduate exhibition for the Advanced Diploma of Creative Product Development at Melbourne Polytechnic. The word Meraki describes doing something with soul, creativity or love. This tumultuous year has tested each artist’s dedication, but they have emerged with more strength and resilience, excited to forge a career in the visual arts. MERAKI features work created in 2020 in a variety of media, including digital, illustration, drawing, painting and printmaking. Each artist has pushed through isolation to hold aloft their passion and joy in the act of creation, bringing to fruition the conceptual reality of Meraki.
